Rory Regan continues to run his pawn shop and helping various people with small loans. Meanwhile a meeting takes place in a meat packing plant in which a crime boss hires a henchman to recover the million dollars in cash which is hidden away in Rory's junkyard. The hired thug develops a plan whereby he will kidnap Opal. When Ragman comes to Opal's rescue he will eliminate Ragman and recover the million dollars in cash. The thugs kidnap Opal as she comes out of a club. Ragman comes to the rescue but Opal is shot in the process. He subdues the thugs but it seems that Opal passes away in his arms. Meanwhile back at the junkyard an old man lays on the ground trying to stay warm. He has a small fire going and he asks Teddy to bring him some more paper to feed the fire. Teddy who is blind feels around a stack of mattresses and discovers the wads of paper money. The boy heaps the piles of money into the fire unaware that he is burning a fortune. The hired thug witnesses the burning but Ragman apprehends him before he can hurt anyone else.
