Fernando Guerrero sees Batman (Bruce Wayne) swinging overhead one night while he is using his telescope atop the Schwartz Memorial Gotham Armory. He goes back every night for a week and sees Batman again at the same time, and he realizes this is Batman's regular patrol route. Nando sees his crush Sonia Costa wearing a Batman shirt at school and realizes he can use his knowledge to impress her. He invites her to go see Batman with him that night, but though they wait past his usual time, Batman doesn't show up. Sonia believes he was lying to her. A gang who has come to steal the supervillains' weapons from the armory find them and threaten to kill them to make sure they don't talk. Nando tries to defend Sonia. Batman appears and reveals he has been coming by the armory all week because he knew about their plans. The children run away while Batman fights the gang, but one grabs Sonia as a hostage. While the thief's eyes are on Batman, Nando grabs his arm and throws off his aim. Batman takes out the last thief and tells them to go home because it's a school night. Sonia kisses Nando in thanks for saving her life.
