Worriedly, Slade Wilson realizes that, somehow, I-Ching has made him young again. As he searches the ruins of his fortress in the Ukraine, he is surprised to find a masked swordsman waiting for him. A voice from behind him explains that this man is just a hologram - a depiction of Deathstroke's next target, Odysseus. He introduces himself as Red Fury, explaining that every hideout Deathstroke ever had has been compromised, along with his bank accounts. In the face of Slade's doubt and rage, Red Fury claims that they he had hired Slade some time ago, but that the mission was so sensitive as to require that Slade's memory of it be erased, in exchange for 25 million in gold. He offers a truth serum to jog Slade's memory. Suddenly, the pair are attacked by an army of swordsmen, and Slade realizes that they must want him alive, if they didn't simply bomb him. Despite his superior fighting, his aim is off, thanks to the restoration of his bad eye. After fighting off every one of them, he discovers one of his attackers trapped beneath some rubble, and forces the truth serum into his mouth. The man explains that Odysseus thinks Slade can somehow make him into a god. Elsewhere, Bronze Tiger remains skeptical of Lady Shiva's plan for Odysseus and Deathstroke. She warns him that while Odysseus is weak, Bronze Tiger must lead the League of Assassins to hunt down any who put Odysseus' power in jeopardy, and that means seeing Deathstroke - his old friend - dead. Slade hasn't been attacked in days - but nor has he seen Red Fury, either. He wanders secluded roads in eastern Europe, wondering if someone is messing with his head. He hopes to get back to Moscow and determine whether his brief partner Angelica is still alive, and then look into his handler, Ben Williams, who he no longer trusts. In the meantime, though, he is curious about the truth serum he was given. The man he'd administered it to had survived a dose, so he wonders if using it on himself could actually help him remember. Upon drinking it, he sees himself in another place, fighting his way toward his imprisoned son, Jericho.

Deathstroke is hired by Director Maxim to capture the last Czarnian... Lobo!
Deathstroke answers a call for help from the Red Lion while simultaneously dealing with Richard, who accepted the hit on Ravager which Slade placed. Meanwhile, Jericho is planning to marry Etienne and Doctor Ikon threatens to tell Slade about the affair Ikon and Jericho had shared; Jericho reacts by shutting off the power in Doctor Ikon's suit so he'll fall from the sky to his death.
Adeline sends Superman after Deathstroke; Jericho test drives Ikon's suit; Hosun receives a message from Etienne; Deathstroke boards an aircraft carrier to hunt a drug lord, only to be cut off from communication with Hosun and face-to-face with Superman.
Superman clashes with Deathstroke, who is barely able to keep one step ahead of the hero. Jericho intervenes to ensure Deathstroke's defeat while Rose heads back to Vietnam for answers about the stories Slade has told her. Superman turns Deathstroke over to the Coast Guard who prepare him for prison.
Slade is brought to a supermax prison in Florence, Colorado to be processed by Dex. Slade recalls his past with Dex, recalling how as a soldier he had been in Srebrenica after the ethnic cleansing and obtained the sword 'Deathstroke' from which he would later take his code name. In the flashback, Slade meets Wintergreen for the first time and dons the first version of his mask in an attempt on the life of a genocidal army officer.
In a flashback to his mission in Serbia, Slade Wilson is first called Deathstroke. Dex informs Wilson the government will be prosecuting him over his manipulation of campaign funds during his clash with the Red Lion. Dr. Villain examines Jericho and determines Jericho & Ravager's powers resulted from exposure to Deathstroke's sword. In Minneapolis, Rose meets up with distant relations. Back in his cell, Slade is confronted by Red Lion.
After a 12 year old bystander is killed when a woman is seemingly fending off would-be rapists, a collection of African-American parents hire Deathstroke to kill the gangs who have been causing their children's deaths. Jack Ryder investigates and realizes the Deathstroke performing the killings is an imposter. Ryder fights the fake Deathstroke as the Creeper but ultimately the real Deathstroke appears and kills the pretender who proves to be the Reverend Ed Thompson.
