Multi-tier analytical consensus distinguishing public truth, firm posture, desk urgency, and personal exposure
Speculative micro-allocation with high-beta risk/reward characteristics.
Home of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Justice League.
The direct market matures. Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen redefine the medium. Speculator boom begins.
High print runs mean condition is the key differentiator. 9.8 census numbers matter more than total prints.
A pricing discrepancy between an auction listing and the prevailing cleared consensus value across organized exchanges, allowing rapid liquidity capture before market equilibrium reconverges.
Now approved by the United Nations, the Justice League International moved from their Secret Sanctuary to three embassies in Manhattan, Moscow, and Paris. Jack Ryder takes this as an opportunity to whip up more fear on his Hot Seat program. Captain Atom, the Martian Manhunter, and Mr. Miracle, prepare the New York location but it has suffered from inferior craftsmanship, made worse by the efforts of the team. J'onn attempted to help the movers by carrying a heavy box up the stairs with his Martian strength, only to crash through the floor, which was unable to support the weight. Captain Atom tries to connect two dangling wires, giving himself an electrical jolt. On instinct, he launched an attack on the electrical system, frying it with a quantum energy blast. Finally, Mister Miracle landed the League's sharp new shuttle on—and through—the roof. His flying privileges were temporarily revoked by J'onn. Batman, Guy Gardner, and Rocket Red #7 head to the Moscow embassy, where the guards try to turn away Guy as an enemy of the state. Once they enter, Batman finds it under surveillance with bugs planted everywhere, presumably by the embassy liaison Boris Razumihin. In Paris, Beetle and Booster enjoyed a drink—and the leggy French scenery—in their civilian identities, until they both spied a dark-haired woman of incredible beauty. Booster bragged that he could easily have the attractive woman eating out of his hand, although Ted thought she was well out of his league. He approaches her and gets slapped after a few words. The rejection was so extravagant that Beetle could not stop laughing for hours and Black Canary was somewhat disappointed to have missed the show. Immediately after this, they meet their embassy liaison Catherine Cobert—the same woman Booster just unsuccessfully tried to pick up in his civilian identity. All three groups reconvene in New York City where they get a message about a terrorist group in Germany.
