Upon arriving at Karmak's place of captivity, when trying to save him, he reveals himself to be Grodd, who used a mental trap to confuse rescuers, Diana throws herself to fight with the ruler while Steve and Helen run in search of Karmak, who was escorted to the place of his execution. While Diana and Grodd fight, she manages to link the lasso of truth in Grodd's arm, opening a space where the two are inside the Golden Perfect, where only the truth prevails, Grodd looks reluctant and breaks the bond quickly, forcing Diana to take more violent measures, knocking out Grodd with an effective blow. Meanwhile Steve and Helen hurry to reach a gorilla aircraft in which they take Karmak and the guard, managing to enter fighting with the enemies, causing the ship to crash, freeing Karmak, but trying to escape they are surrounded by Gorillas . Steve is about to shoot when Diana gets in both sides, demanding that they stop, promising that A.R.G.U.S. he will declare an apology for having invaded foreign territory, preventing lives from being lost in the conflict. Diana expresses to Helen how proud she is of her as they talk over a historic Washington monument. His parents tried to surrender but were shot by the agents even though Diana had not agreed with that. Diana knew the story of Helen's parents, her lineage that was remote to a mortal enmity with the Amazons. It was said that a group of Valkyries found Themyscira in the past, arriving in peace but they were received with death, only Gudra survived, swearing revenge. The Von Grudas were formed from their descendants, taking Gruda's spear and his promise, Diana not saved Helen, saved her to protect her from becoming what her destiny held as a means of control. Now in the present, Helen observes the events that have occurred around Wonder Woman, assuming her real name, Paula Van Gunther, Warmaster.
