The recovery of third-party encapsulation and grading expenditures when an asset is acquired at a discount below the physical cost of replacement grading fees, shipping, and insurance.
Kid Colt is being chased by a posse of law men across the plains and manages to escape them by making a daring jump across a cliff that the others are too afraid to risk jumping. As he makes his escape, the Kid comes across a woman tied to a rock and goes to her aid despite her warnings that he should stay away. As she tries to free the girl an outlaw named Simon Bleak tries to get the drop on him, but Kid Colt is faster at the draw and manages to disarm him easily. Bleak convinces Kid Colt that he had nothing to do with tying the girl up and agrees to help free her despite her continued protests not to. With his guard down, Kid Colt is knocked out when Simon suddenly strikes him from behind. As it turns out the woman, Milly, is Bleak's bride to be and that Simon created this trap in order to frame Kid Colt for robbing the local bank so that they can get away and live rich, the girl however is an unwilling accomplice, but he convinces her to join him as he takes Kid Colt back to town so they can claim the reward money on the outlaw hero's head to further fleece their pockets. They head along Thunder Pass, where local superstitions say no outlaw can go through without being captured or killed. However as they pass through Kid Colt wakes up and attacks Simon, knocking him off his horse. The two scuffle, but the Kid is forced to run for cover when Simon gets hold of his guns. Using the nearby rocks for cover, Kid Colt tricks Simon into using up all his bullets and attacks him again. The two struggle until Simon accidentally steps backward off a cliff and falls to his death. When the law arrives, Milly explains Simon's plot, clearing Kid Colt's name and the authorities allow him to go free.
