Kara and Ruthye finally manage to corner Krem of the Yellow Hills. However, before they can capture him, Krem pulls out a highly dangerous magical artifact: a Globe of Mordru. Upon activating it, he banishes Supergirl and Ruthye to the other side of the known universe, trapping them on a hostile planet called Barenton. Upon arrival, they are nearly crushed by a gigantic dinosaur. Kara attempts to push it away but soon realizes she is losing her powers, and after managing to escape the giant foot, she understands what is happening: this planet orbits around an artificial green kryptonite sun designed specifically to kill Kal-El, Superman. Slowly, the radiation begins to poison and weaken Kara in an agonizing manner. Supergirl explains the gravity of the situation to Ruthye. Her cousin Superman was once trapped on this very same planet; he only lasted 45 minutes before the Justice League rescued him on the brink of death. Kara calculates that they will have to endure ten whole hours until the sun sets so she can recover. When Kara can no longer walk, Ruthye lays her down where they will wait for dusk. Ruthye draws her sword and stands guard. One of the dinosaurs attacks them while Kara is unconscious, forcing Ruthye to overcome the sheer terror of the situation, risking her life to fight the creature hand-to-hand in order to keep Supergirl’s agonizing body safe. Later, other pterodactyl-like dinosaurs consume the corpse of the first dinosaur and attack Ruthye, who once again manages to scare the threat away. As the hours pass, Kara becomes completely defenseless, falling into a state of fever, delirium, and extreme pain due to the poisoning. In her immense suffering, Kara stands up in search of water but is stopped by Ruthye, who tries to make her see the danger they would face by changing positions. With time and the movement of the sun, Kara's suffering reaches an unbearable peak, and out of nowhere, a leviathan appears, forcing Ruthye to confront it; however, she is easily overpowered by the dinosaur's immense size. Slowly, the green star disappears over the horizon at the exact moment Kara is about to be devoured. With her powers returned, she strikes the beast and ends the danger. Now, with Kara completely recovered, Ruthye puts her spacesuit back on, and they manage to escape planet Barenton.
