Deconstructionist storytelling. Trade-first publishing. Creator prestige over character IP.
Value driven by creator reputation and adaptation potential rather than print scarcity.
The recovery of third-party encapsulation and grading expenditures when an asset is acquired at a discount below the physical cost of replacement grading fees, shipping, and insurance.
Having split from Captain Sisko's crew over a disagreement on how to handle the threat of the radical Klingon group led by Kahless, Worf puts together a black ops team and "steals" the Defiant to go in pursuit of Kahless and his team, which includes Worf's son Alexander.

With Kahless and the Red Path in possession of the destructive power of the Crystalline Entities, Worf decides that they need someone who understands the Crystalline Entities technology, which leads to Worf and Spock stealing Lore's body from Section 31 and reactivating him to help them in their mission. Then they travel to get information on Red Path from the Orions.
Worf, B'Elanna, and Ro Laren are captured by Orion pirates and must fight to escape. Meanwhile, Spock tries to keep the Defiant safe from the Orion ship firing on them, and is forced to make an unpopular decision to ensure the safety of the ship.
Escaping from the Orion pirates, Worf has suffered a heart injury, and is reliant upon the female Orion to administer adrenaline to keep his heart functioning, however the adrenaline is affecting Worf's judgement. Meanwhile B'Elanna and Ro are having trouble trusting Lore, who was reactivated by Spock to help the crew accomplish their mission.
Worf and his crew are joined by Commander Sela, who advises them that Kahless has recruited Romulans as well as Klingons to his cause. They then discover that the Klingon Korvat Colony has been destroyed as well as a Starfleet starship, and the evidence points to Kahless.
