The feral Batman escapes from Nightwing, who immediately calls Oracle for assistance. Meanwhile, Killer Croc, feeling insulted by the arrival of the animal men, confronts them in a fierce battle. During the fight, he becomes infected by one of Garro's spores. Driven by his primal instincts, feral Batman is summoned by his master—Gotham itself. His only desire is to protect the city. Nightwing, aware that Batman will inevitably return to Gotham, finds himself face-to-face with a giant Killer Croc instead. He engages in combat, but the fight quickly turns against him. At that moment, feral Batman decides to defend the humans and attacks Croc. Nightwing joins the fight, and together they manage to bring the beast down. However, it seems that feral Batman intends to kill Croc, prompting Nightwing to intervene. Feral Batman then turns on Nightwing, pursuing him relentlessly. But as doubts begin to cloud his mind, Richard seizes the moment to electrocute him. Once feral Batman is subdued and caged, Nightwing asks Oracle to transport him to Gotham Zoo, as they had planned. Despite everything, Nightwing reflects that even in this wild form, Batman is still a "good boy."
