Dinah recalls the time when her younger sister was still part of the League of Assassins. In the present, as Dinah tries to explain her plan, Zealot starts walking away without saying a word. Dinah catches up to her, Zealot explains that she refuses to attack and kill Amazons. Dinah reassures her and clarifies to the team that she doesn't want to kill anyone, especially not Amazons. Meridian had revealed to Dinah that Sin, her sister, would soon be confronted by a creature on Themyscira, a creature seeking to make Sin its host. If that happened, Sin would eventually destroy the island and all the Amazons there. Dinah fears that if she tells Wonder Woman, she might refuse, ruining the entire plan. Harley Quinn starts asking a lot of questions, but none are answered. Dinah asserts that she has a plan for Wonder Woman and everything else, but there's one problem: she doesn't know how to get to the island. After Harley insists, she finally reveals that she has an idea. Reluctantly, Dinah agrees. Everyone has things to do before they leave, so they agree to meet at midnight on the east docks of Gotham. Meridian departs, telling Dinah she'll meet her on the beaches of Themyscira. Later, Dinah meets up with Constantine, who owes her a favor. He takes her to a parallel dimension and retrieves a strange bag for her. However, Barter, the man who was forced to give up the bag, sends golems to stop them. Dinah tells John to give the bag to Green Arrow. Meanwhile, Zealot, followed by Harley Quinn—who just made a mysterious phone call—ends up in the same realm as Dinah. They rush to help their ally. Barda and Cassandra, who arrived by accident, also join the fight against the golems. Together, they make quick work of them. Afterward, they teleport back to Gotham. They're now waiting in a small boat for Harley's contact. Suddenly, a megalodon appears, with King Shark on board.

Dawn of Green Arrow & Black Canary #1
“Come on, Oracle. Send the Marines. Send the JLA. Send the Shriners. But get me outta here.”
— Black Canary)
From her home, Oracle hears that Bard is still alive and an order given to strip Black Canary of her valuables to see if her "masters" will pay for her life. Unable to help, she puts her head down on her desk saying she's "so sorry", actions that are being watched by another, unidentified, camera. While she's lamenting her inability to help, "Beeb" emails her and they chat about Oracle having gotten "a friend" in serious trouble, which she feels bad about, especially since she took all the physical risk while Oracle took none. Beeb tries to assuage her guilt, telling her that since she cares about her friend, who knew the risk, and is a willful partner, the risk is shared; Oracle risks her heart while her friend risks physical danger. Once pressed, Beeb admits that he too has suffered for decisions he's made and friends placed in the way. With that, they disconnect and Oracle tried to contact Black Canary, not knowing her necklace and earrings have been placed in Pajamas' safe.
Black Canary wakes up, not knowing where she is, and changed out of her costume and into tattered olive colored clothing. She finds herself on a bunk in a hut with numerous other women, one of whom tells her they're in "Hell on Earth". Before one of the women, Carlita Blanchard, can tell her much more than they must "pay dearly" for another day of life Black Canary is pulled out of the hut and taken to see "the master", Jackie Pajamas. He tells her about his "social experiment", which he claims to have based on *The Killing Fields)*, in which he kidnaps the wealthy, forces them to work on his plantation, all the while ransoming them back to their families. He asks how much Transglobal loves Black Canary, and has her sent to the fields after she tells him they'll pay if she sends her earrings. Once she's gone, Hellhound) tells Pajamas of Black Canary's reputation, warning him that she's an escape risk--something he seems to relish.
In the fields, Carlita Blanchard warns Black Canary about "the Surgeon", who takes body parts, and it dawns on her that Blanchard is the owner of Blanchard Fragrances. Looking around her she sees numerous rich people, all of whom are being "allowed to live" while Pajamas drains their fortunes. The captives line up when a man comes around to distribute water and Black Canary sees Jason Bard in front of her. Despite a warning from Blanchard not to speak to him, she tries to get him to join her for an escape attempt, only to discover he is now blind.
