Jackpot and Black Cat cross paths in Chance's Flying Casino. Later, MJ asks why Felicia robbed the casino. Felicia explains that she started getting threatening texts from an app called Obscura. If she didn't follow what the texts told her, she would be taken out. If that weren't bad enough, Felicia says that half of New York is being threatened and blackmailed by the app meaning that nearly anyone could be behind it. MJ and Paul offer to help but Felicia tells them to leave it alone for her to handle herself. MJ, not taking no for an answer, later follows Felicia to get to the bottom of why she is being so distant. Turns out, Felicia is seeing someone named Amelia who is actually the person Obscura is threatening to hurt, not Felicia. Felicia agrees to let MJ help but only after she gives her the go ahead. Once back home, Paul has already managed to hack into Obscura's data and finds out they are related to another company named Kinetic Flow. Jackpot then heads to Kinetic Flow's headquarters herself to confront their CEO. There he states he has nothing to do with Obscura. Just as he's about to say who does, he and Jackpot are attacked by a group of individuals being blackmailed by Obscura and told to 'take Jackpot down'. Jackpot manages to escape but receives a text from Obscura saying that she must complete a heist for them otherwise they will kill Paul. Black Cat then appears and asks Jackpot 'what did you do?'.

“Felicia) said to leave it alone... but I know there's something she's not telling me. Because while fear is a monster that forces most people into hiding, it's always motivated Felicia. Pushed her to run even faster. Fight back harder. So if this blackmailer's got Felicia hiding under her bed... it can't be because she's worried about her own safety. It's because there's someone else in the picture. Someone she's trying to protect.”
