In illiquid alternative asset markets, sovereign blue-chip holdings trade at an exponential multiple over mid-grade float due to institutional accumulation and inelastic seller reservation prices.
Speed Carter of the Space Sentinels and his sidekick Johnny Day are ambushed by the Blobs a race of space pirates. Outnumbered, Speed is unable to stop the aliens from kidnapping Johnny after he is pinned under a net. Brought back to Earth, Speed reports to Colonel Stone about Johnny's capture. Overhearing this are Stone's daughter (and Speed's girlfriend) Stellar and his rival Crash Morgan. Morgan accuses Speed of allowing Johnny to get captured leading to an argument that Colonel Stone stops. When Speed asks to go after Johnny alone, his request is denied. Speed is soon called back to his quarters to answer a video-phone call. He answers it finding it is from the Blobs who threaten to kill Johnny if the Space Sentinels don't stop stopping their raids, unaware that Speed is using a device to trace their location. Unknown to Speed is that he is secretly being observed by Crash Morgan. Later, Speed then requests a leave of absence much to the chagrin of the Colonel and Stellar who think that Speed is abandoning Johnny during his time of need. Knowing better, Crash offers his assistance in helping Speed load his ship for his "vacation" secretly planting a tracking device in the cargo. Arriving near the Blobs a base -- a space station -- Speed puts on a Zoom-Vest in order to fly closer. Watching through a port hole he is shocked to find that the Blobs are secretly working with the Saturnians. Killing the sentries on guard duty outside the space station, Speed uses his Hydro-Gun to melt through the hull of the space station and finds Johnny's cell. Rescuing his young friend the two make a daring escape out of the space station and across a nearby meteor belt. When all seems lost suddenly a fleet of Space Sentinels arrive and blast the Blobs into oblivion. When the battle is over, Speed and Johnny are shocked to find that the rescue operation was led by Crash, who confesses to overhearing Speed's conversation and insured that he could get their captain and Johnny out of harms way.
