On an unusually warm Gotham City evening, Jim Gordon, now a beat cop working with Officer Espinoza, witnesses an escaped Killer Croc and calls for backup. At Arkham Towers, a tired Batman discusses Waylon's state with Dr. Annika Zeller while investigating his destroyed cell. She tells Batman that Waylon is regressing after being exposed to unknown morphotoxins. Batman glides from Arkham Towers to the Batmobile, where he speaks to a hallucination of Alfred. In Robinson Park, two girls are being chased by a new gang, The Creeps, when the Batmobile slams into the gang. Batman helps the two girls and leaves for the Gotham Natural History Museum. In the museum, Batman finds Waylon and prepares to fight, but after being talked down by the hallucinatory Alfred, Batman decides to talk to him instead. Batman and Waylon talk about dinosaurs and how Waylon's "head is bad" before Dr. Zeller appears to take him back to Arkham Towers. Waylon gives Batman one of his toy dinosaurs and leaves with Dr. Zeller. Upon returning to Pennyworth Manor, Tim Drake calls Batman on the emergency frequency after being cornered by the police.
