Back on the island, Jay Brazen and his team entered the cave. As they made their way inside, Jay Brazen told them that the chances of being rescued were nonexistent. He also suggested using the cave as a shelter, since it appeared that humans had once used this place, and there was a possibility of finding something useful. As they walked through the cave, Jay Brazen told everyone to stay alert, since they did not know who might be lurking nearby. Soon after, they came across a giant warrior statue. One of the soldiers asked the captain about the statue, and Jay Brazen replied that, although it clearly depicted a warrior, it did not resemble anything from either Roman or Greek Mythology. Using a lever, they entered through a door that led them to another passage. As they walked, one of the soldiers said he would bet ten dollars that the Nazis were somewhere nearby. The same soldier then joked that they were trying to bring dead soldiers back to life. The soldier placed his hand on something and, moments later, a blade fell and pierced his hand, causing him to scream in pain. Shortly afterward, a pile of rocks fell on him and killed him. The incident left Jay Brazen stunned. Back in the present, Tommy Brazen was surprised by the supernatural powers that had manifested themselves. He then told Raback that they should get out of there. However, Raback was arguing with someone because the man did not want to return half of the money. During the struggle, Raback punched the man and recovered the money. However, that same man ordered everyone to attack them. In response, Raback fought back. Tommy Brazen also joined the fight to defend his friend. During the confrontation, Raback knocked several attackers unconscious. Meanwhile, Tommy Brazen tore through some of them thanks to his superhuman strength. Finally, he killed the last thug with a kick that sent his head flying off. As the duo was about to leave, a young woman and two of her henchmen stopped them. The woman congratulated Tommy on the massacre he had caused. Tommy and Raback were confused by the sudden appearance of the young woman. She told them that her friends called her Midnight Lily, although they could simply call her Lily. She then explained to Tommy that her boss had been amazed by the growth of his skills and abilities as fighter over the past few years. She added that he boss was a wealthy and powerful man who was looking for a fighter to test on his island of Farthica, where he would face the wonders of nature and he demigods who lived here. The next day, Tommy Brazen decided to head to the airport to travel to Farthica, as it was the island where his grandfather had discovered the relic. in addition, he hoped to find answers about how his father had died. Tommy and Raback arrived at the airport to travel to Farthica aboard a private plane. During the flight, Raback expressed how great it would be if his parents could see this. Tommy let out a laugh and told him about who they would meet in Farthica, and that the person organizing all of this had resources and influence. In a flashback from years ago, at the Brazen family home, Jay Brazen, Tommy Brazen's grandfather, would be amazed at how Tommy, who was a child at the time, had lifted that iron horse due to the strength he possessed at such a young age. He would say that he wondered if he had passed some of his powers on to him, and it was clear that they had skipped his father's generation, as Jay Brazen's son would be sitting there drinking a beer. Tommy Brazen would narrate that his father resented that, as he could not understand how the powers that his grandfather had obtained on the island had passed him by, yet had manifested in Tommy. Later, he would say that his father left them to search for that island and see it with his own eyes, although, according to Tommy, he did not know whether his father had actually believed his grandfather's story. However, it is known that his father never returned. They lived with that uncertainty, because they did not know whether he had reached the island or not. If he had made it there, then he could have died in that cave. If he had survived, then he would have returned. Back in the present, at night, Tommy and Raback got off the plane and then climbed into a car that was, in fact, controlled by the boss, who appeared before them as a hologram. He welcomed them and told Tommy that he had not come there to have fun, but to participate in the largest and most electrifying combat competition in the world, one that was only permitted in the island nation of Farthica, beyonder the reach of government regulations. He also told Tommy personally that he had been selected to compete not for fame, but to become a god among me. As they traveled in the car, the boss explained that Farthica was home to the Tree of Power, an ancient temple that housed a great god of war. A being that could only be summoned by loyal and fierce warriors. He added that some competitors had survived this trial of strength, while others had been cursed for attempting it. He also told Tommy that, should he survive, he would become a different person. He then explained that talented warriors like him were drawn to the island to challenge its demigods and monsters. Finally, he revealed that Farthica had come a long way since its discovery eighty years earlier. A short time later, the car came to a stop, something that left Raback confused. However, the car window opened, and an unknown person handed Tommy a letter. The duo got out of the car and read the message. It was a welcome letter to the hotel, although it also included a note instructing them to visit the Merc And Vile shop.
