An editor discusses a variety of Science fiction stories with one of his writers. Gregory Farmer pitches idea after idea but the editor dismisses each one. Famer then mentions that he dreamed up a great story in which a sub atomic world invades the Earth by detonating a shrink bomb. The bomb shrinks the Earth to a molecular size allowing the aliens to take over. The editor loves the idea and asks Farmer to come in the next day to develop the story in more detail. The following day arrives but Farmer is nowhere to be found. In the meantime astronomers reveal that the Earth is actually shrinking just as Farmer described. The Earth is in danger of shrinking to the size of an atom if something is not done. A frantic search is conducted for Famer and he is found in a hospital recovering from an automobile accident. They theorize that Farmer is somehow mentally in tune with the invading space creatures. Farmer reveals that the planetary shrinkage is caused by a shrink bomb and it has to be blasted off the planet. He further mentions that the bomb gives off a type of radiation that will make it easy to locate. After and extensive search, they find the bomb in the Andes mountains. It is dismantled and launched into space leaving the Earth safely in place.
