Pigsy tells Marcus that they need a detective's help to find his parents, but Marcus refuses to ask Batman for help, instead creating a "Robin Signal" from clouds to summon Robin instead. Robin agrees to help Monkey Prince find and defeat Golden Horn Penguin if Monkey Prince will agree to answer all his questions afterwards, which Marcus accepts. Robin deduces that the Penguin is hiding out at the abandoned Stahl Auction House, where he and Batman first crossed paths. The two young heroes also bond over frustrations with their mentors. They sneak in and Marcus finds his parents tied up and blindfolded, he attempts to untie them but they are attacked by Golden Horn Penguin. They fend him off until Batman arrives, and at the sight of him Macus panics and falls off his cloud. His body breaks into pieces when he hits the ground, but Pigsy coaches Marcus to allow his fear to run through him and let it go, and Marcus pulls himself together. Monkey Prince goes to untie his parents but Batman stops him, telling him that every one of Golden Horn Penguin's victims were criminals and he suspects that the Shugel-Shens are criminals too, much to Marcus' shock as he had always believed that his parents were mere boring scientists. Batman attempts to arrest the Shugel-Shens, Monkey Prince and Pigsy, and while he is distracted the Demons of Flame Planet sneak in and untie Golden Horn Penguin. The demons mob Batman and Robin while Marcus attempts to fly himself and his parents out, but Pigsy tells him it is his duty to protect the heroes of Earth from the demons and prevent the demons consuming their souls and gathering enough power to take over the world. Pigsy gives Marcus a can of blessed soda to use on Golden Horn Penguin, but Marcus is unwilling to abandon his parents, so he tells Robin to throw a batarang at his torso. The batarang cuts Monkey Prince in half; his upper half fights Golden Horn Penguin while his legs take his parents outside. Once his parents are safe, Marcus's legs return to him and reattach themselves. He sprays Golden Horn Penguin with the soda, which exorcises Golden Horn King from his body. The demons flee with Golden Horn King, who absorbed enough of Batman's Qi to provide him with physical form but is still very weak. Batman tries to interrogate Monkey Prince and Pigsy, but they escape. Meanwhile, the Demons take Golden Horn King, who has grown horns like the ears on Batman's cowl, through a Boom Tube to their master. The next day at school, Riz apologises to Marcus for picking on him and Marcus tells Kaya that he believes he can make Gotham his home, but his parents unexpectedly pick him up and tell him they are moving to Amnesty Bay.
