Wonder Woman returns Steve Trevor to America, from Paradise Island, in her invisible plane. Leaving him at the hospital, she finds a job working for promoter Al Kale. She later quits after learning that Kale is crooked and returns to visit a recovering Steve Trevor. Outside the hospital Wonder Woman bumps into a nurse named Diana Prince who looks just like her. The nurse is depsondent because her fiancé has gotten a job in South America, but does not have enough money to send for her. Using the money she earned from Kale, and because she has been trained as a nurse on Paradise Island, she convinces the nurse to let her take on her identity. Disguised as the nurse, Diana cares for Steve. Steve learns of threats of bomb attacks on the United States. He sneaks out of the hospital and Diana is chastised for allowing him to leave. He returns to work with Army Intelligence and goes to stop a bomber from dropping a gas bomb on Camp Merrick. Unable to penetrate the bomber's armor with his guns, Steve rams the plane, bailing out id his own plane. However, his parachute is damaged. Fortunately, Wonder Woman has been following in her Invisible Jet. She manages to save Steve and the pilot of the bomber. They learn that the saboteurs are producing more gas bombs on a secret island base. Together, Wonder Woman and Steve find the base and stop gas production, but the place explodes, with Steve again injured. He is returned to the hospital. When the doctor and his superiors both attempt to give him the credit, he insists that the credit should go to Wonder Woman. Later, Wonder Woman, again posing as the nurse, realizes that she has a rival for Steve’s affections...Wonder Woman!
