Multi-tier analytical consensus distinguishing public truth, firm posture, desk urgency, and personal exposure
Deconstructionist storytelling. Trade-first publishing. Creator prestige over character IP.
Value driven by creator reputation and adaptation potential rather than print scarcity.
The recovery of third-party encapsulation and grading expenditures when an asset is acquired at a discount below the physical cost of replacement grading fees, shipping, and insurance.
The issue opens with Reggie Meyer making various mundane requests of his family, which they nervously acquiesce to. As he forces them into a group hug, we zoom out to see that the living room they are in is actually a filming set. We then see Superboy carrying Robin piggyback as they flee from enemies and argue. At Robin's request, Superboy puts him down, and they prepare to fight an army of robotic duplicates of themselves. Two days earlier, Jon gets on the school bus to find that a diminutive old man has replaced the normal driver. Jon tries to stop two bullies from picking on another student, but the bus driver tells him to sit down. After school, Jon and his friends get into a snowball fight with the bullies. The bullies start putting rocks in their snowballs, injuring one of Jon's friends and tempting Jon to use his heat vision on them, but Jon suppresses the urge and the bullies are buried by a massive snowball dropped from the roof by Damian. Jon confronts Damian, who was using latex masks to be both the bus driver and the substitute teacher for Jon's earth sciences class. Damian explains that he was bored and decided to check in on Jon to "see how the other half lives." After a brief conversation, he puts the bus driver mask back on and gets on the bus. Jon has some concerns about getting on a bus driven by a 13 year old, but lacking a better way to get home, he follows. In Wayne Manor, Batman heads out for patrol. Damian wants to accompany him, but Bruce grounds him for skipping his lessons with Alfred to go to Jon's school. Meanwhile, Jon tells his parents about his day over a game of poker; Clark and Lois say they're proud of him for standing up for the vulnerable. Clark is called away on Justice League business, while Lois puts Jon to bed. As Jon lies down, he's awakened by Damian breaking into his room in full costume. Damian drags him off to investigate some break ins at Lexcorp buildings, by breaking into one such building themselves. As they hang from the outside of the building, Superman appears behind them.
