Year 1000 Mister Sinister assists Jon Ironfire and a “New Five” to resurrect a clone of Storm with the help of DNA that Sinister was holding back “for a rainy day”. The Storm-clone has information that Ironfire uploaded during the resurrection process but has none of the original Storm's memories. The Brotherhood of Mutants are still pursued by Emma Frost's Red Diamond armada and are attacked by a formidable quartet of four-powered chimeras. On her mothership, Emma enters a red diamond-shaped bath that merges her consciousness with a huge cosmic-sized suit of robot armor. The Emma-robot begins attacking the World Farm. During the attack, Sinister tries to convince Ironfire to access the Moira Engine, but he is denied. Sinister finds the hacked Doombot in the rubble and pries off his hand which is also a small blaster. The Storm-clone takes on Emma while members of the New Five are defeated. The Storm-clone, although she has no memories, she also has no sense of her limitations, and thus calls forth massive destruction at the molecular level, destroying the massive Emma-robot. The Storm-clone collapses from the radiation exposure. Ironfire comes to console her in her last moments, and as he does so, Sinister comes behind him with the Doombot blaster and shoots him.
