In the present day, Felix Faust and Vandal Savage reminisce about their partnership five hundred years earlier. After Rora sent the Super Sons back to the 21st century, she fled, and Faust decided that finishing the spells to eventually destroy the Justice League was a higher priority than chasing her. Now, Savage is irritated that he helped Faust achieve immortality, but Faust's spells have so far killed zero members of the Justice League. Faust concedes that he underestimated Rora, but he points out a bright light shining out of the top of a nearby building into the sky, and says they have one more chance to get it right. Meanwhile, Superboy and Robin have learned from the Doom Scroll that the next target is not their fathers but themselves. While Jon mourns his tragically short lifespan, Damian wonders why the consequences that are supposed to ensue if a victim learns about a prophecy haven't happened yet. Damian jumps in the Supermobile to try to do something about the situation, but Jon stops it from taking off, worried that they could endanger other people if they leave. As they argue, Rora appears, saying that the spell of the Doom Scroll has been broken and apologizing for not predicting that Faust would choose them as victims. As a penalty for their unintentional violation of the Scroll's terms, the Felix Faust and Vandal Savage of the 16th century are brought to the present. Rora holds them off long enough for Superboy to destroy the Doom Scroll with his heat vision, terminating the spell and sending them back to the past. As the Super Sons tend to Rora, who was injured in the fight, the present day Faust and Savage arrive. Faust blasts them with his magic and tells them they are no match for his centuries of experience, but Rora, who is nearly as old, recovers enough to lay a binding spell on him, the same one he used on her many times. However, Savage seizes her from behind, and once more demands that the Super Sons surrender to save her life. Superboy and Robin agree, and Faust engulfs them in magical flames intended to make them suffer for their centuries of defiance. Soon after, however, the Justice League arrives, and Superman blows out the flames. Six minutes later, the villains have been defeated, and Batman and Superman press their sons for an explanation of what they've been up to and why they have the Supermobile. Bruce tells them to fly the Supermobile back, but instead they make Clark do it, with Jon flying in front of it, Damian standing on his back, and Bruce driving the Batmobile below, as they all head home. In the far future, Damian and Jon's grandchildren have fallen asleep on the couch while reading a "Challenge of the Super Sons" hardcover book. As Damian spreads a blanket over them, Jon remarks on what a great idea it was to write down all their old adventures.
