Multi-tier analytical consensus distinguishing public truth, firm posture, desk urgency, and personal exposure
The recovery of third-party encapsulation and grading expenditures when an asset is acquired at a discount below the physical cost of replacement grading fees, shipping, and insurance.
Following Spider-Man’s death, the news of Peter Parker’s secret identity spreads throughout New York, leaving those closest to him struggling to cope with the loss. Gwen Stacy, overwhelmed by grief, blames herself for what has happened, while J. Jonah Jameson wrestles with the knowledge that he had discovered Peter’s identity but never revealed it to the public. Johnny Storm takes to the skies, his grief erupting in a burst of flame, while Kitty Pryde violently puts down a group of criminals before admitting through her tears that she hates them all. Elsewhere, Flash Thompson sits alone in an empty classroom, wondering if he is the only person who never knew that Peter was Spider-Man. The teacher present with him, Ms. Dowling, remains at her desk as the rest of the school mourns. At the Queensborough Bridge, S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel work to repair the damage left by the battle that cost Spider-Man his life. Mary Jane secretly records the aftermath until she is discovered by the agents. Nick Fury intervenes, ordering them to confiscate her camera but allow her to leave. MJ angrily accuses Fury of being responsible for Peter’s death and vows to expose him, but Fury simply orders her to stay away. Meanwhile, Aunt May and Gwen travel with Tony Stark to Saint Patrick's Cathedral for Spider-Man’s public funeral. Tony assures May that he will cover the expenses, while explaining that the enormous crowd surrounding the cathedral gathered spontaneously to honor the fallen hero. May initially feels unable to face the gathering, but Tony reminds her that the city needs to mourn Spider-Man, while Peter’s loved ones will have their own opportunity to say goodbye. As May enters the cathedral, a young girl approaches her and asks if she is Spider-Man’s mother. May explains that she was his aunt, but had been like a mother to Peter. The girl then reveals that Spider-Man once saved her from a fire and offers May a hug. The encounter gives May a moment of comfort amid her grief, as she realizes how many lives Peter touched. Inside, May is led to the front pew, where she is approached by Steve Rogers. Wearing his Army uniform, Captain America tells her that he knew Peter personally and then admits that he considers himself responsible for Spider-Man’s death.
