Reading this edition’s market
Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.
The table includes 8 guide observations and 1 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.

| StoryTitle3 = Kit Colby: "Marauders at Moon Bow!" | Synopsis3 =Katherine Colby enters a contest to become Moon Bow's next sheriff against her father's wishes. She reminds him that he himself nicknamed her "Kit" after rugged soldier Kit Carson, who she is considered the equal of, and further reveals she has been practicing for the contest in secret, scoring much higher than all other contestants as a result.
Cactus Brand and his men use the distraction of the contest to rob a bank. Kit takes notice that many contestants are missing and confronts them. The fight starts with guns, which Kit proves superior in quickness and aim to Cactus and his crooks, but she doesn't shoot to kill, which allows several desperadoes to escape when Kit lassos Cactus only to be yanked off of her horse by him. Kit dumps Cactus on his head with a fireman's carry and forces him into a jail cell, but his missing desperadoes have the bank's gold.
Kit missed most of the contest as a result of trying to stop the bank robbery, but her defeat and jailing of Cactus is enough to convince the other contestants to drop out and declare Kit the new sheriff of Moon Boy County, with even her once skeptical father coming around. The new sheriff's first order of business is hunting down the escaped robbers.
Cactus tricks Kit into thinking he's escaped by clinging to the ceiling beams of his cell, however and drops down on her as she enters to investigate, knocking Kit to the floor. Cactus proceeds to run out of the cell, locking the door behind him, and steal Kit's horse Flash while he's at it. Flash loses Cactus and returns to the sheriff's office, however, while Kit's father lets her out. Kit proceeds to use Flash to set a trap for Cactus and his cronies, capturing them all.

She teaches Andiciopc the Sun-Dance, which will invigorate the Crow and allow the remaining soldiers to win their war, then fashions a doll for him to remember her by before she and her drummers vanish and the moon becomes visible again.
