Reading this edition’s market
Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.
The table includes 3 guide observations and 1 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.
Graded population

| StoryTitle3 = Kit Colby: "The Law Comes to Mustang Pass!" | Synopsis3 =Kit Colby hasn't had a vacation in years, but Katherine finally feels her services are not needed on the ranch or in the sheriff's office, trusting her deputy Jess Sayers to keep order in Moon Bow during her leave of absence. She aims to relax in Mustang Pass, which strives to maintain a "true" old west aesthetic. Bandits attack the stagecoach transporting her there, however, so Kit returns fire with a gun she had concealed and takes the reigns from the driver, who had been shot.
Coming into Mustang Pass, Kit wants a doctor for the regular driver and a sheriff to chase down the escaped assailants, as she's on vacation, but Mustang Pass both lacks a sheriff and is offering a thousand dollar reward for anyone who can last twenty four hours as one. Railroad crew foreman John Langdon, who was arm was broken by a gang of desperadoes, explains that the town has been plagued by crime ever since a new connecting line came through town.
Kit is adamant that she's not here to work, but after diving under a truck to avoid pack of explosive set off at the train station, Kit is goaded by John into being sheriff for a day. Kit has a peaceful night, but a knife comes through the window of the Mustang Pass sheriff's office in the day, sending her into a rage. She tracks the prints from the direction of the projectile but the trail disappears as she approaches Old Man Richards's ranch.
Lacking evidence to accuse Old Man Richards, Kit rides into a trap laid by Ned Richards, his son. The father rancher doesn't want the railroad dividing his property, but the son does and is trying to scare the railroad way from Mustang Pass towards Silver Creek. Ned decides to hold Kit captive in a cave he's never revealed to anyone not currently in it before, but Kit manages to disarm him and defeat Ned and his gangsters in a gun fight.
Having survived her one day as Sheriff, Katherine can finally start enjoying her vacation.
