Reading this edition’s market

Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.

The Day the Earth Split in Two

Newlyweds Ela and Jym Fernes, who have been raised on the colony-planet Zeon in the Tenth Galaxy their whole lives, visit Earth for the very first time only to find it somehow split in half. When they land, it’s explained to them that a militaristic faction known as the Magyons became the rulers of the eastern hemisphere of Earth and used a disintegrator ray to cut the other hemisphere away.

With help from Jym Fernes, the people of the western hemisphere discover that the eastern hemisphere is about to fall into the sun. Even though they’re their enemies, the western hemisphere still decides to help them by using an anti-gravity metal Jym invented to combine the Earth back together. Soon after, the Magyons are deposed by a civil uprising.

| StoryTitle2 = Secret of the Scientific Doodads | Synopsis2 = Earth and Mars debate which of them has the right to colonise some newly-discovered planets. Instead of starting a war, the two decide to instead host a battle of wits. They use the Great Interplanetary Electronic Brain (GIEB) to randomly select human Eddie Jones and martian Gelok. Both are given a new invention randomly created by GIEB and sent down to the new planet to compete to find out what the invention is supposed to do.

After wandering around trying to figure out what the invention is supposed to do, Eddie and Gelok end up being swept underwater by a tidal wave. Gelok's foot is trapped under rocks and Eddie saves him by figuring out that GIEB's invention is an oxygen generator. Gelok cedes colonisation right to Earth in gratitude.

| StoryTitle3 = Space Cabbie: "Search for the Space Sparklers" | Synopsis3 = Space Cabbie stops on an asteroid to check his engine and stumbles upon a boatload of diamonds. As he's loading the diamonds into his cab, a smaller meteor impacts and causes the asteroid to break in two, with Space Cabbie stranded without his cab.

Space Cabbie is rescued by a passing traveller and gets a job as a meteor-sweeper in hopes of finding his cab. After an exciting career destroying potentially-dangerous meteors, Space Cabbie finally finds his cab, only to learn that the diamonds were actually ice particles which have since melted.

| StoryTitle4 = "The Robot Magician" | Synopsis4 = Spaceship Roger Markham picks up a distress call from the planet Klann in an unexplored sector of space. After being shown around the planet, Captain Lewis and Lieutenant Ames realises that its inhabitants are actually robots who have outlived their creators.

The governing council decides to have Lewis and Ames arrested until they can decide what to do with them, but they escape by using copper pennies to short out their electric barrier. They then discover the corpse of Roger Markham, the pioneer who their ship was named after, which is recent despite him having vanished 150 years ago.

A robot comes in and explains that Roger Markham was the only one able to cure the disease that frequently befell them and had them build life-support equipment for him that allowed him to live to the age of 200 and keep treating them. Lewis and Ames realises that the "disease" is really just rust and replace all the oxygen on the planet with carbon dioxide so the robots can’t rust ever again. | Appearing1 = **Characters:** * Zeonians ** Jym Furnes ** Ela Furnes * Magyons **Locations:** * 30th Century ** Earth **Vehicles:** * Zeonian spaceship
