Reading this edition’s market
Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.
The table includes 3 guide observations and 0 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.

| Notes = * "A Jet's No Pet!" is reprinted in *G.I. Combat* #119. * "Visit to a Small War" is reprinted in *Our Army at War* #243. * Also in this issue: ** "Military Oddities", trivia about the Medal of Honor, and the military rank of "General of the Armies". ** "Strike -- Hold!", the history of the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment. | Trivia = * On a press release issued by DC Comics after Robert Kanigher's death, Julius Schwartz recalled an specific anecdote about this issue. Schwartz claimed that when Kanigher looked at the cover art, he attached a small note that read "Drop an Inch". This was meant to be a correction on the art, but the vagueness of the message caused the letterer to include a tagline caption promoting a story with that title. When the full cover came with the wrong tagline and in order to meet the deadline, Kanigher scripted a whole story under the title "Drop an Inch" during his lunch break.
