Reading this edition’s market

The Sinister Snares of Stingaree!
Well-dressed crowds were assembled at the Stagg Mansion, and Stagg's) hencemen formed an orchestra -- Rex Mason) was going to marry Sapphire Stagg). When the Justice of the Peace asked if anyone had any objections, Element Girl) raised her voice -- Rex couldn't get married because she needed him for Operation Stingaree.
Sapphire's big day was ruined, and Element Girl threw her into the arms of Java). Urania's happiness had been similarly ruined, as she had been engaged to criminal mastermind Stingaree), who ran the world crime syndicate called CYCLOPS.
Metamorpho and Element Girl headed to the Netherlands where they snuck into Stinagree's under-windmill base and battled the Liquidator, Cyclops henchmen and finally the dorsally-dangerous Stinagree. Stingaree was resistant to all of their elemental attacks, and the two chemical freaks were forced outside, where each was poisoned by Stingaree's poison cocktail. Rex overcame the toxin and snipped Stingaree's tail, rendering him *almost* harmless.
The jealous Sapphire Stagg had flown in pursuit of Rex, and crash-landed in the path of Stinagree's doomsday flood. All were saved by Metamorpho's Iron Bulldozer and the cocktail-less Stingaree was held fast by Java. Element Girl seemed dead, and Sapphire rejoiced, but Stagg might be able to save her.
