Reading this edition’s market

Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.

Ringo Kid

Seeking to ride into the town Dry Wells to get a drink, the Ringo Kid is stopped outside by a pair of gunmen who tell him to stay out of town as their employers, the Starr brothers, are planning to ambush the local sheriff in about 10 minutes. The Ringo Kid rides off but cannot bring himself to turn the other way when an innocent man stands to get killed. Sneaking into town, the Ringo Kid covertly takes out the Starr brothers' hired men in order to even up the odds, taking some of them prisoner in order to learn that the ambush is supposed to happen over at the Big Strike Saloon.

As the Ringo Kid rushes to the saloon, the sheriff confronts one of the Starr brothers inside when the ambush is sprung. The Ringo Kid bursts in with guns blazing and helps the sheriff kill the men in the upper balcony of the saloon waiting in trap and guns down Starr as well. The sheriff thanks Ringo for his help telling the outlaw that he isn't going to serve the warrant he has for his arrest in reward for his help, but the Ringo Kid is not satisfied until he has settled the score with the remaining Starr brother, despite the fact that the sheriff wants to deal with Blackie Starr himself.

The two go their separate ways and the Ringo Kid finds Blackie's cabin first. He climbs up on the roof and plugs the chimney to smoke the outlaws out. He guns down Blackie's men and when Blackie gets the drop on him, the last Starr brother tries to fire but realizes he used up his ammo trying to stop the Ringo Kid. The sheriff arrives at that moment and guns Blackie down himself. With the Starr brothers dead, the sheriff allows Ringo Kid to go free.
