Reading this edition’s market

Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.

Ringo Kid

The Ringo Kid watches as outlaw Flip Cullen use the method that has earned him his nickname to determine the life or death of a man: the flip of a coin. However as the coin spins in the air, the Kid shoots it out of the sky angering Flip. The Ringo Kid demands to know why Flip wants to see this man dead, but the racist Cullen refuses to explain himself to the Ringo Kid due to his mixed ethnicity. When Flip and his men refuse to stand down, the Ringo Kid fights them off until the sheriff arrives. The Ringo Kid mounts his horse Arab and flees while Flip and his men run the other way. Before he leaves, the Ringo Kid tells the man who he saved to meet him outside of town to explain things.

Setting up camp, the Ringo Kid learns that the man Flip tried to kill used to be a member of his gang until he refused to participate in their upcoming attack on a Mormon wagon train that is passing through the area as Flip heard that they are carrying gold. The Kid lets the man go while he decides to go and stop the slaughter of the innocent Mormons. The next day, while Flip Cullen and his men prepare for the attack, the Ringo Kid approaches the Mormon wagon train to warn them of the impending attack. He finds that the "gold" that the Mormons are carrying with them are their children and a stack of Bibles. The Ringo Kid then convinces the Mormons to set up camp and prepare for the attack.

Soon, Flip Cullen and his men attack and the Ringo Kid leads the Mormons in defending their wagons. However, Flip manages to loop around behind the wagon train and knock out the Ringo Kid with a blow to the head and escapes with the Ringo Kid as his prisoner while the rest of his gang is gunned down. Taking the Kid to a secluded area not far away, he prepares to flip his coin to decide the Kid's fate when suddenly his former gang member appears and guns Flip down to repay the Kid for saving his life earlier. With the Mormon party departing on their way, the Ringo Kid suggests that the former outlaw join them to find a new life among law abiding people.
