The Face of Death

In the southern United States, a criminal named John Talbot is being pursued by two lawmen for theft and murder. When he crosses the border into Mexico, the lawmen are forced to give up the chase. Afterwards, Talbot collapses in the desert and is taken in by group of people descended from the Aztecs who nurse him back to health. Talbot then witnesses an Aztec priest named Tlaxcan performing a ritual to heal another Aztec's broken leg. The ritual is successful, and Talbot comes up with a plan to return to America without being caught. He threatens the Aztecs with his gun and forces Tlaxcan to perform another ritual that will change Talbot's face so the authorities won't recognize him. Tlaxcan warns Talbot that the Aztec gods will punish him, but reluctantly agrees to perform the ritual. He then leaves the Aztecs behind and goes to a Mexican cantina, but he is confronted by the local police. Talbot shoots at one of the cops and attempts to flee, but another cop shoots and mortally wounds him. As Talbot wonders how he the police could have recognized him, it is revealed that the Aztec gods gave him a face identical to that of Carlos Ramirez, a Mexican criminal also wanted for robbery and murder. | StoryTitle2 = This Rat Will A-maze You! | Synopsis2 =
