Reading this edition’s market
Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.
The table includes 0 guide observations and 1 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.
Graded population
CGC records 81 graded copies for Godzilla #17 (1978). Population is the number recorded by this grading source, not the total print run or all surviving copies.
"Of Lizards, Great and Small"
Following Godzilla's rampage through Salt Lake City, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Godzilla Squad has finally recovered and have redeployed following the damage done during Godzilla's battle with the Mega-Monsters. Joined by Paleontologist Gladstone Hawkings, the group decides to use a different method of dealing with Godzilla.
Calling in the help of Henry Pym, the group get a large batch of his shrinking Pym Particles and use them against Godzilla. However the monster grabs Dum Dum before they can take effect. The S.H.I.E.L.D. Godzilla Squad then engages on a wild goose chase to try and capture the now shrinking Godzilla. He is finally caught by Hawkins who uses a net on the beast once it has become the size of a regular reptile.
