Daddy Dearest
Three armed men break into a house, but are quickly stopped by Batman). He tells the residents that they were men of the mob boss, Enrico Zarelli, but they do not know what he wants from them. Later, Batman disguises himself as an inmate and learns that Zarelli was targeting the son, Nicky Agronas. He pays Zarelli a visit, who tells him a story.
*Zarelli and his son, Richard, were walking to the car when they were attacked by another mob. Batman arrived, but not before Richard was killed and Zarelli was paralyzed from the waist down.* Zarelli was unable to become a father again and learned that his son had been switched at birth, meaning Nicky was his real son.
Batman arranges a meeting between father and son, which he cannot deny. Zarelli tells Ricky that family is the most important thing, and asks him to join him. Ricky replies that although his parents couldn't promise him much, they still taught him that family matters most. As he walks away, Zarelli assures Batman that he won't bother Ricky.
Back at home, Batman recommends Ricky for a scholarship at WayneCorp, then goes to sit by the portrait of his parents.
