Doomsday

Ghost Rider and Frank Drake finally locate the Darkhold Redeemers, but right behind them is Switchblade. He battles Modred, and kills him and Vicki. But Modred was fighting under a geas, that he couldn't leave the island of Maui, so he had taken some of it's soil with him. But when Switchblade absorbed Modred's power, he absorbed the geas as well, and as he died, Modred released the soil. Breaking the geas causes Switchblade excruciating pain, giving the heroes a head start, to find the Darkhold before he does.

| Notes = * This issue is the third part of the five-part Midnight Massacre event. Like the other four issues in this event, this comic has a double cover. The outer cover is a Darkhold envelope made of black parchment with gold ink. The inner cover is by Rurik and Downs. * According to the Marvel Chronology Project, the Darkhold Redeemers and Jinx appeared in the second story in Midnight Sons Unlimited Vol 1 2 between Darkhold: Pages from the Book of Sins Vol 1 10|last issue and this one. Since this means that they interrupted their search for the Page of the Demogorge in order to travel to California) to retrieve a different Darkhold Page, the fit isn't perfect. However, considering other factors, it's probably the best possible placement for that MSU story.
