Breakout!: Part 2

Another explosion shakes the Raft as Captain America) and Spider-Man) watch Electro) and the prisoner he was hired to free escape through the breach. Realizing they cannot catch them, Spider-Man leaps toward the opening to assist any survivors, ignoring Captain America’s warning to let the S.H.I.E.L.D.) agents take point. The decision proves disastrous: instead of civilians in need, he finds himself surrounded by dozens of escaped super‑villains. Overwhelmed and dogpiled, Spider-Man has his mask torn off and his arm broken by Jigsaw).

Meanwhile, on the lowest level of the Raft, Matt Murdock) attempts to convince the Sentry) to help them escape when he, Foggy Nelson), Jessica Drew), Luke Cage), and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are attacked by Carnage). Murdock shoves Foggy into the Sentry’s cell and seals the door, warning him not to open it under any circumstances. Murdock, Cage, and Drew battle Carnage until another villain joins the fight: Murdock’s longtime foe, Mr. Hyde).

On the surface, Spider-Man continues to be beaten by the mass of escaping inmates until Captain America intervenes, scattering the attackers and leading a squad of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents into the melee.

Inside the darkened cell, Foggy manages to persuade the Sentry to act. Emerging from confinement, the Sentry seizes Carnage and rockets upward, smashing through eight levels of the Raft and into the upper atmosphere. Reaching outer space, he executes Cletus Kasady by tearing Carnage in half — an act that shocks even the hardened heroes and foreshadows the instability of the Sentry’s mental state.

Elsewhere in the prison, Cage defeats Mr. Hyde, and Jessica Drew attempts to fly them through the opening created by the Sentry, only for Hydro-Man) to engulf them in water. They manage to reach the surface and join Captain America and Spider-Man in the ongoing battle. Ironclad) grabs Captain America and hurls him into the sky, where he is caught by Iron Man), who has just arrived on the scene after detecting the Raft’s catastrophic failure.

Luke Cage is then confronted by the Purple Man), who orders him to kill the other heroes and then take his own life — unaware that the Raft’s power dampeners have not fully restored his pheromone‑based control.
