Girl Power!
Power Girl) has been invited to give a speech in the first Annual Power Girl Convention. Later, as she is signing autographs, a woman calling herself Rana Arenta skips the queue and claims she's doing a master thesis on superpowered women. She asks Power Girl to verify the data she has gathered, which statistically suggests Power Girl is the most powerful. Power Girl believes Rana is right, but refuses to verify any numbers for tactical reasons. Rana leaves in a huff and Power Girl listens to a fan named Marnie, who is accompanied by her younger sister Margot and friend Kira.
All of sudden, all attendants start floating. Rana turns up again, wearing a jetpack, and warns they can't leave the building. Power Girl checks the building has been pulled off of the planet by a tractor beamed of an alien ship. Rana then gets several magic golems seize Power Girl.
Rana explains that Arenta is another planet that she escaped from, and that it has been ruled by the overlords of Azaar for over one hundred years. Her people need a hero, so Rana stole a spaceship, looked for a world protected by powerful heroes and searched the mightiest one. Power Girl points out she could have asked the JLA) for help, but Rana argues her world needs a hero who will stick around. Power Girl replies she will not make anything under coercion, but Rana has brought a power-copying machine along with her in the event Power Girl refused to permanently relocate.
As Power Girl is shoved into the machine and Rana starts out the replication process, Marnie convinces Margot and Kira to help Power Girl out. As Margot and Kira convince the other convention goers to make use of the reduced gravity to leap away from their captors, and while the golems are distracted, Marnie opens the capsule holding Power Girl. Power Girl immediately pulls Rana out of the other capsule after thanking Marnie and Kira, but Rana has already copied her powers. Golems come to subdue Power Girl again, but Rana is confident she is now a better Power Girl who can defeat the original again without their help.
As they battle, Power Girl states Rana is more interested in having super powers than being a super hero. If she truly cared about her people Rana would have gone about helping them in a completely different way. The speech doesn't stop Rana from beating Power Girl, but Marnie and Kira have used the replicator machine on themselves, and tackle Rana. Margot also starts to use the machine while Rana knocks Marnie and Kira off of her, then lays out Marnie. Rana turns to Kira, who shrinks away from her. As Rana bears down on Kira, Marnie and Power Girl recover, and the two of them manage to overwhelm Rana.
Two weeks later, Power Girl drops by Metropolis to check on the three girls. Marnie and Kira assure her that the S.T.A.R. Labs' scientists have completely reversed the process. Power Girl tells them this was for the best, giving a warning about how hard the hero life is. She expresses her gratitude one more time before flying off.
Marnie and Kira go for a walk across the park, without realizing Margot has begun to float again behind them. | Appearing1 = **Featured Characters:** * Power Girl) **Supporting Characters:** * Kira * Marnie * Margot (aka "Li'l Pee Gee") **Antagonists:** * Rana Arenta) ** Golems * Lex Luthor) **Other Characters:** * JLA) * Batman) * Supergirl) * Superman) * Zatanna) * Azaar **Locations:** * Earth ** Metropolis *** S.T.A.R.
