Part III of the Bad Southern Pun Trilogy: Y'alls Well That Ends Well

Picking up from the last issue, Gwenpool is with Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Chammy, and Ruth, and she is unable to convince Rocket to allow her to recap the story for readers. Rocket tries to beat up Chammy after the hardship Chammy had caused by escaping from Rocket's bounty hunt for so long but Rocket finally acquiesces to listen to Chammy explain his backstory.

Chammy explains that he is from the planet Usarkia which Captain Marvel saved years ago by toppling an evil tyrant who had ruled the planet. The planet had known peace for a while until a new, worse tyrant took power in the vacuum that existed following the previous ruler. Chammy escaped and became a smuggler with a small group of other aliens for a while. Chammy explains that his fellow smugglers were killed on a delivery of a valuable formula to a contact named Reeve, who was also a refugee from the planet Usarkia. Chammy was the only one who survived Reeve's slaughter and sensed that he should not let Reeve gain access to the formula they had been delivering, so he burned it up. Reeve had been searching the galaxy ever since to try and find Chammy in order to extract the data from Chammy's head via a superpower Reeve possessed. Chammy reveals that Reeve's ultimate plan is to destroy Captain Marvel.

Rocket interrupts the story to convince everyone that they need to return to New York City as soon as possible in order to warn Captain Marvel of Reeve's arrival. They drive to the airport but Gwen initially stays behind in the car, convinced that she is in a minor series and thus safe from the events of Civil War II happening in New York City, also believing that the author of the book does not have the authority to kill off Captain Marvel. However, upon seeing Kitty Pryde randomly walking down the street in Georgia makes Gwen suspicious that the author of the book might be Brian Michael Bendis, who WOULD have the authority to kill off Captain Marvel and so she ultimately joins her teammates on the plane ride to New York City.

In New York City, Reeve confronts Captain Marvel in her bedroom in the Triskelion just as she finishes a long day of saving lives. He explains that in the past, on Usarkia, the second tyrant that had taken over after Captain Marvel left had experimented on members of the population in order to create superbeings to kill Captain Marvel. The superbeings, which included Reeve, had rebelled and taken down the tyrant's regime instead, but Reeve still harbored hate toward Captain Marvel for only caring about his planet when, in his eyes, it was beneficial to her. Captain Marvel's apologies are ignored by Reeve and the two fight, with Captain Marvel nearly dying because Reeve reveals that he had used the formula to create a concoction that nullifies the powers of Captain Marvel. Just then, Rocket, Groot, and Gwenpool arrive in an attempt to save Captain Marvel but Reeve quickly dispatches them as well. When all hope seems lost, a puddle of water on the ground suddenly grows into the form of Chammy, who hits Reeve on the head with a pineapple and incapacitates the alien.

Later, as members of the Triskelion are taking away Reeve, Chammy explains to the group that he too had been experimented on in Usarkia alongside Reeve but the only power they had been able to give him was the ability to turn into a puddle of water. Captain Marvel offers Chammy an opportunity to join the superheroes in New York in some capacity but Chammy declines and instead leaves with his girlfriend Ruth.
