Story synopsis
The Nova Corps reach Chandilar to help defeat the horde of undead Asgardian gods. Nebula flees with the Naglfar Armada while the Asgardians of the Galaxy's ship is impounded. Angela allows the Nova Corps to arrest her team as a ruse to gather intelligence. Under interrogation by Nova Corps commander Scott Adsit, Angela learns that Nebula is headed for Earth. Meanwhile locked in their cells Valkyrie informs Kid Loki that she does not trust his intentions. Kid Loki knows that Valkyrie seeks to sever her bond with Annabelle Riggs. He suggests that he is able to give her what she desires if only she has a little faith in him. He also tells her she underestimates her mortal counterpart and Annabelle was the person they truly wanted to recruit in the first place.
Unable to convince the Nova Corps that they are ones best suited to take down Nebula, the Asgardians make a break for their ship. Loki snaps his fingers which forcibly transforms Valkyrie into Annabelle. Under fire Annabelle finds she cannot change back and puts on a fallen Nova helmet. Loki uses his magic which enables Annabelle to access the helmets Nova powers. Seeing Annabelle joining in the skirmish, Loki decides to warn Thor of Nebula's plans. He teleports to Earth but arrives too late. Nebula has his brother incapacitated and blows the Naglfar Beacon.
