A Day of Tigers!
Ka-Zar saves Barbara and Paul from an anaconda as they travel the Savage Land. After making camp and resting Ka-Zar thinks back at his past.
Starting with his father's first journey to the Savage Land where he found the Anti-Metal and brought it back to England. After the death of his wife he made it into two half medallions for his sons Kevin and Parnival. Time passed and an organization threatened Lord Plunder's family to get their hands on the material so he left Parnival in the care of Willis his valet while taking Kevin to the Savage Land with him.
While in the Savage Land Lord Plunder shows Kevin the location of the Anti-Metal but he is attacked by a tribe of Neanderthals called the Man-Apes who kill him. Nearby Zabu attacks the Man-Apes for they to have killed his parents and his kind leaving him the only one left. Zabu and Kevin soon bond quickly and over time Kevin is called Ka-Zar by the natives of the Savage Land which means "Son of the Tiger". Years pass and Ka-Zar and Zabu grow while the Man-Apes hunt for him and Zabu out of an obsessive revenge. The tribe corners the pair and attempts to kill them. Ka-Zar pleads for a peaceful solution but they force his hand after they injure Zabu which causes Ka-Zar to go enraged and push a boulder from a mountain onto the Man-Apes killing all but Maa-Gor, their leader. Ka-Zar then proceeds to beat him down but allowing him to live so he can know what it feels to be the last of his kind like he made Zabu.
The memory fades with Ka-Zar saying goodbye to the Savage Land and wondering if he will return at all.
