Drums of War
At the Pierce's castle, John Constantine is drowning his grief over the death of King Jefferson, who he loved. His squire Timothy Drake comes to collect him for Anissa's coronation, but John refuses to go and reveals that he knows Timothy is one of Bruce's Robins. Timothy asks John why he told him about the magical assassin if he knew he was a spy, and John admits that, while he believes the Els are a danger to the world, he didn't want to start a war and hoped Timothy could prevent the assassination. He blasts Timothy out of his chamber and denounces him as a spy. Princess Jennifer wants to kill him but John tells her that Tim is just a pawn and asks her to spare him. Jennifer tells Tim to go home and tell Queen Lara that war is coming.
The next day at the Castle of El, Tim reports directly to Lara as Bruce is missing and Alfred and the other Robins are out searching for him. Timothy reports that the Kingdom of Storms is marching to war and that King Jefferson was murdered by Zala. Although Zala denies this, Timothy tells the court that everyone he spoke to told the same story, and that the Pierce's are acting in what they believe is the best interests of the world. Lara dismisses everyone, but General Waller remains behind and tells Lara that if Diana were Queen of the Amazons she would change their allegiance from the Kingdom of Storms to the Els due to her love for Zala, implying that they should assassinate Hippolyta.
In the Kingdom of Storms, Constantine summons the demon Etrigan and asks to speak to his human host Ra's al Ghul. Constantine asks Ra's to raise Jefferson and Jacob from the dead, and Ra's tells him that while Jefferson's body is too damaged to restore he can raise Jacob, but warns that the prince will likely no longer be the boy he was. John asks what it will cost and Ra's says he will have to hand over a group of children he has been sheltering known as "the Titans".
Kal-El flies to Amazonia, hoping to convince Hippolyta not to go to war. The Amazons attack him but their weapons simply break on his skin. Hippolyta and Lois eventually come to where he is battling the Amazons, but rather than speak to him Hippolyta stabs him with her magic sword. Kal-El wakes up in a prison cell with his wounds bandaged and tied up in a magic rope which compels him to tell the truth. Lois comes to meet with him and tells him that she is Zala's friend and has always defended the Els to Hippolyta, but since Zala murdered King Jefferson and Prince Jacob the queen no longer listens. Kal-El insists that Zala could not have killed Jacob and Lois admits that she feels like they are all being manipulated to drive them to war. Kal-El tells her she needs to convince Hippolyta to back down but Lois says she can't, as the Amazon war fleet has already set sail.
