The AK-X Antipersonnel Particle Beam Cannon was a weapon created by Roxxon for the Pentagon, but it was rejected when it was discovered that it tended to overheat during use, causing explosions within a 500-foot radius. Roxxon then attempted to sell it to the Middle East, but the US government opposed this as well.
