Overview
After having fought off the Soviet-backed dictatorship, the Afghan rebels were left with internal strife between tribes. When Professor X sent the X-Men to Afghanistan to investigate an alien life form that displayed a mutagenic reading, the team was attacked by rebels upon sight. After a brief fight, Beast, speaking Pushti, clarified that the X-Men were only looking to peacefully retreive the alien life form.
