Overview
A version of the Prometheus Pit was reconstructed on Earth through research derived from earlier theoretical work on subatomic exploration. The device became the focal point of a conflict involving Carnage, who was freed from captivity by a group of rogue Microns seeking access to a new universe. In exchange for their assistance, Carnage agreed to enter the Microverse through the Pit and unleash destruction on its inhabitants.
