Overview
Winzeldorf was a small village located in the Bavarian Alps in southern Germany (see notes). It consisted of a small church which was located on a mountain above the village, and timbered houses which were built in typical Bavarian fashion. The village was surrounded by high, snow-peaked mountains and dense woods. A fountain with a bird- or angel-like statue marked the central market square. The city was famous for hosting a seasonal circus.
