Tied up in the next room of the shack in the swamp, Sandra is able to eavesdrop as the kidnappers viciously work over their "pal" the ex-gangster. He does enough screaming to cover the noise of Sandra struggling her way loose from her ropes and escaping out the window. In the swamp she very luckily finds an old canoe and gets a good head start before the bad guys notice her absence, and start up their river boat in pursuit. She makes it back to her car, and drives away, but is quickly pursued by the gangsters, in their car. They've brought their kidnap victim with them. In the darkness, on the twisty swamp roads, Sandra outmaneuvers the bad guys, and is soon following them, the dopes.
