Brainiac 5 broadcasts an emergency message calling on all citizens to evacuate New Earth immediately, after the Horraz pirates who stole Aquaman's trident return to use it against New Earth, while the Science Police battles to stop them. The Legionnaires mount an attack on Horraz spaceships but Ultra Boy is knocked unconscious by a Horraz attack. Superboy and Saturn Girl soon join the battle and the latter revives Ultra Boy while Cosmic Boy attempts to relieve the other Legionnaires. Tortor of the Horraz Collective suddenly overtakes Computo and accuses the United Planets of interfering in their way of life, stating that the fall of Earth will be a message to anyone who opposes them. Superboy soon discovers that Tortor has Aquaman's trident. As Jon and Ultra Boy head towards Tortor to take him down using super-speed, they are quickly overtaken by a Gold Lantern. Tortor however uses the trident to attack him with the combined water of the old Earth, leading Jon attempting to take Tortor down with super-speed. Mon-El however soon enters the scene and tries to take away the trident despite Brainiac's warning, leading to the waters bursting forth over Tortor's ship before Jon can reach them and bringing back the oceans to Earth once again. Later on Daxam, Crav Nah demands justice for being attacked by the Legion of Super-Heroes, but President R.J. Brande says that they brought back hope by bringing back the Earth's waters, despite the scheme he co-hatched with the Horraz to steal Aquaman's trident. In fury, Crav Nah quits the United Planets and warns of war.
