In a jungle scene Robin, the Boy Wonder swoops in and rescues Mary from villainy. We see we are at the abandoned Shark Island Lighthouse; students are on set filming a movie called "Jewels of Doom". The author of the script is Dick Grayson. Dick Grayson walks towards his classmates Mary, George and Al as they spot Dick. They inquire where's Robin and why won't Dick join the cast since he is the writer. Dick explains he is camera shy and he will go look for Robin. The students still filming spot two thugs, Spike Wade and Scuttle Moore, carrying large sacks heading towards the local clock maker shop. The students stop them and ask if they can include them in the background shot. They comply and continue on to the clock shop. Inside the clock shop is The Clock, looking over his schedule as he spots the two thugs entering the clock shop. The clock begins screaming at them that they are 72 seconds late and we are behind schedule. The thugs explained they were interrupted by kids filming a movie and they want to add us as background character. The Clock is furious explaining don't you know those bags you are carrying have S.S Sea Spray on them if the cops get wind of this, they will know where to look. The Thugs leave to go find the kids from earlier. A minute later back at the docks, Robin and Al see Mary and George in a boat heading back towards the Shark Island. The thugs spot Robin and Al and confront the two. Thugs take Al's camera and tell them that theirs a big explosion happening that would be great for their movie. Robin thinks this is too suspicious to be coincident. Both Thugs escort Robin and Al and they walk into The Clock Shop. The Clock is behind the counter, and he is given the camera to examine the film. The Clock pulls a gun on Robin and is upset that the wrong film is in the camera, and it must back on the island with the rest of the kids. Quick thinking Robin grabs a projectile from his belt and throws it at The Clock hitting him in the face. Robin fights both thugs but shortly after it starts Scuttle grabs Al and threatens harm if Robin does not yield. The Clock explains to Robin that there is a bomb in the building set to explode, and he needs to get to Shark Island. The Clock locks Robin and Al in a room and they depart to Shark Island. Robin and Al search over the room and find its sealed shut as dozens of clocks in the room click away time. Wishing his utility belt was not take, Robin quickly thinks of a plan. He instructs AL to find cogwheels, the bigger the better, as Robin notices a water pipe in the room. After gathering cogs Robin uses them and begins sawing the pipe in half with the teeth of the cog wheels. As the pipe is cut in half, water begins filling the room. As time runs out on the bomb countdown, Al grabs a clock and the alarm goes off. The alarm is a voice recorded message "It's Time for the bomb to go off! So Long Robin...". Kaboom as the room shakes and shutters but the duo is still alive. Robin explains the water absorbed the shock of the explosion and the floor is now draining the water out into the newly created hole in the floor. Robin and Al escape The Clock Shop and find an outboard racing boat and zoom off toward Shark Island. As they reach the island, they spot The Clock's boat that had arrived earlier. On the sound stage Spike and Scuttle have gather all the students and threaten to eliminate them just as they did Robin. You see Robin enter the tower and he sees the thugs and students below a spiral staircase. He notices a large painting on the wall and grabs it. Robin then slams the paint down on both thugs incapacitating them both. A student tells Robin that the Clock went to the lighthouse to destroy all the film and he took George and Mary with him. Robin tells the student to warn him in five minutes and make sure all the lights are setup. Robin runs off to rescue George and Mary. In the Lighthouse tower, The Clock with George and Mary is about to burn all the negatives of the film. Suddenly, Robin crashes through the window flying toward The Clock. Robin fights The Clock but The Clock grabs Mary and kicks Robin in the chest as he runs up the stairs to reach the top of the lighthouse tower. The Clock running up the tower hears the gunshots that Robin instructed the student to warn him earlier. The Clock thinks his thugs have been captured. On top of the tower The Clock threatens to throw Mary over the ledge if his thugs aren't set free. Robin, swinging on a rope connected to the lighthouse, tells him he is bluffing and dares him to do it. Calling his bluff The Clock throws Mary over the ledge. As she falls toward the rocky bottom below, as Robin is swinging, he catches Mary mid-air as she was falling. Robin swings to the top of the Lighthouse and he confronts The Clock. The two fight a grim duel with each other, striking and dodging each other as Robin throws time related puns at The Clock. Grabbing a pipe wrench, The Clock swings it mercilessly at Robin as he trips. As Robin falls back, he grabs a switch and hopes the students have completed the light setup as instructed. As the switch is flip a burst of bright light fills the area blinding The Clock in the process. As The Clock is blinded, he is hit by the tower's swinging clock pendulum stopping The Clock for good. As the scene pans out you can see that the students set the projector to play the film, and it can be seen projected on to a cloud. Commissioner Gordon sees the movie being played and notices S.S. Sea Spray bags in the film and orders his men to Shark Island. At Shark Island, Commissioner Gordon is meet by Robin who has The Clock tied up and ready for processing. Gordon thanks Robin as they have known of The Clock but were unable to trap him. Some nights later, Dick and Bruce are seen entering a movie theatre for the premiere of "Clocks of Doom". In the theatre Bruce is not please on how much the crooks hammed it up for the film. Bruce sees the final scene of Robin and Commissioner Gordon, "Speaking of Ham acting..." "Skip it Bruce, I guess there's a little ham in all of us!"
