The recovery of third-party encapsulation and grading expenditures when an asset is acquired at a discount below the physical cost of replacement grading fees, shipping, and insurance.
In a secluded study, Goodnight confronts a disoriented Bruce Banner, attempting to break through psychic blocks suppressing his identity. Recounting his past in the Reaver program and the guilt he carries, Goodnight provokes Banner until his anger triggers a transformation into a monstrous, gamma-powered form. Using the promise of Betty Ross’s survival as leverage, Goodnight demands Banner’s cooperation. Meanwhile, at a secret gene facility, Dark Beast and Sugar Man oversee the resurrection of powerful mutants using Celestial technology. Fiend is captured, while Deadeye secretly observes from above. As tensions rise, Deadeye launches a surprise attack but is subdued, while Dark Beast tightens security after learning of an intrusion led by Prophet. Prophet and Horror Show are brought before Dark Beast, where Prophet reveals he carries a radiological device capable of destroying the facility. Before negotiations conclude, the transformed Banner crashes into the lab, causing chaos. Amid the confusion, Deadeye resurfaces, opening fire and enabling the captives to turn the situation against their captors. Sugar Man is subdued, while Dark Beast escapes in a pod as the complex falls apart. As the battle escalates, Weapon Omega and Azazel arrive, confronting the rampaging Banner. During their clash, Weapon Omega fatally impales him, dismissing his rage. Elsewhere, Prophet secretly coordinates with Dr. Moreau and Bolivar Trask, who remotely drain the Celestial Life Seed energy sustaining the resurrection pods, halting the process. However, before setting the bomb, Prophet initiates the revival of Monet St. Croix. As the remaining X-Terminated escape with their prisoner, the facility is engulfed in an explosion. In the aftermath, Monet awakens, marking the only successful resurrection before the lab’s destruction.
