Ambushed and out-numbered, Hal battles members of the Sinestro Corps to protect a planet of innocents. Elsewhere in the universe, the Corps continues to rebuild, and Guy Gardner has run into trouble on his recon mission. On Warworld, Sinestro negotiates a mysterious pact with a group known as the Sacrament.
John Stewart and Soranik Natu announce their plans to unit the Green Lanterns and Yellow Lanterns. Their first objective: track down the remaining Yellow Lanterns and give them a choice to join them or be imprisoned. Guy Gardner seeks out Space Cabbie, a smuggler, who has a lead on where some of the Sinestro Corps members are hiding. Meanwhile, Hal and Kyle embark on their own mission: searching for hope, and that means finding Saint Walker.
John organizes teams of Green Lanterns and Yellow Lanterns to track down the missing members of the Sinestro Corps. Hal and Kyle continue on their search for hope and must rescue Saint Walker from the Misery Mound. Guy decides to track down a specific Yellow Lantern on his own for a personal confrontation.
As the Green Lanterns and Soranik's Yellow Lanterns team up to capture the rogue Yellow Lanterns, Guy fights Arkillo to determine who is the toughest Lantern of the two Corps, while Hal and Kyle return to Mogo with Saint Walker.
With the majority of the rogue Yellow Lanterns captured, John plans for how they work together going forward. Guy and Arkillo recover from their injuries. Hal and Kyle confess their admiration of the other's abilities. Ganthet and Sayd ask Kyle to combine his powers with Saint Walker to help resurrect the Blue Lantern Corps, but when an unknown force blocks them, Kyle loses control of the seven rings of the spectrum. Six of the rings seek out new bearers, but the green ring chooses Kyle, making him a Green Lantern once more.
Tensions rise as the Green Lantern Corps works side by side with the Sinestro Corps. Gorin-Sunn and Space Ape investigate a temporal anomaly on a deserted asteroid.
Rip Hunter arrives from 30 years in the future to warn of an enemy named Sarko who has come back in time to change history and eliminate the Green Lantern Corps from existence. Sarko saw the Sinestro Corps get absorbed into the Green Lantern Corps in the future and has come back to prevent that from happening. Having defeated Gorin-Sunn and Space Ape, Sarko sends his Prism Beasts to Mogo to attack the Corps.
The Corps fight off the attack of the Prism Beasts, sent by Sarko to eliminate the Green Lanterns. They find that the Prism Beasts can withstand power ring attacks, so they set up a diversion while Hal and Rip Hunter launch a plan to stop the threat.
While the combined Green and Yellow Lanterns face the attack of the Prism Beasts on Mogo, Hal and Rip Hunter go after Sarko and the power gauntlet being.
