In Turkey, government officials are being assassinated by terrorists who are seeking to over throw the current government rulsed by Prime Minister Yousef. These deaths are of a great concern of Yousef's daughter Magda. When she expresses these fears he brushes them off as the rants of dissidents that are of no threat to him. Unconvinced, Magda seeks out the aid of Namora who is in the area teaching children how to swim. Hearing her worries, Namora agrees to meet with Yousef and try to convince him that there is reason for concern. Suddenly Magda rushes into her fathers office to advise him that yet another cabinet minister has been murdered. Having had enough Yousef orders both women to leave his presence and go to the women's guest quarters. Along the way, Namora and Madga overhear another rabble rouser attempting to gather the people into a militant force to overthrow the government. When Namora goes for a closer look the dissidents spot her and believing that she will follow plan to jump her. Namora takes the bait and they knock her out and toss her into the nearby waters. This proves to be a mistake, as the water merely revives Namora to her full strength. She rushes back to the Prime Minister's palace and learns that Yousef had been attacked in her absence. Seeing him in bed, Namora tries once more to convince him to stand up against the resistance, but Yousef once more dismisses the attacks as the work of a small few and no threat to him. Later they overhear two of the Prime Minister's advisor's discussing their plans to overthrow the government and realize that the plot is being formulated from within the government. Later during an evening ball, Namora and Magda attend in order to keep a closer eye on the Prime Minister. Spotting the revel leader Amouzecar in the crowd, Namora follows him in the hopes of learning who the real mastermind behind the plot is. She is shocked to find that the real leader is Yousef himself. He holds Namora and Magda at gun point and locks them in a room, leaving them to free Turkey from serfdom. Namora breaks out of the room and follows after Yousef and his minions to a nearby boat. There she subdues the guards and attempts to capture Yousef. Not wishing to be taken, he sets the boat to explode and locks himself inside. With no other choice, Namora captures Amouzecar and flees the ship as it explodes. The following day Namora meets with Magda who is glad her father is dead, telling the Atlantean that he should have died for betraying his country.
