When news of a new victim of a creature dubbed the "Silent Claw" is reported to Greg Knight by one of his guides, he tells Lorna to stay out of the hunt, once more telling her that a woman has no place in the jungle and that trouble always follows her wherever she goes. He makes her swear not to follow him to learn what his plans are. She swears, but has Mikki secretly follow after him and spy. When the small ape returns, they both swing off into the forest to hunt for the Silent Claw. Lorna finds the jungle to be too quiet and suddenly spots a leopard that is afraid of something. Lorna goes to check it out and is attacked by the Silent Claw: really a man wearing a clawed gauntlet. The man -- named Jason -- strikes Lorna but she plays possum to attack him. He manages to break free, but Lorna gathers a group of animals from the jungle to attack him forcing the "great" Jason to flee into the jungle to plot revenge later. Lorna follows after and finds the Silent Claw sleeping in the jungles. Examining his claw she finds that it is laced with a lethal poison and removes it. When Jason awakens he tries to attack Lorna, but without his deadly weapon the jungle girl easily defeats him. Deducing that the men is not well, Lorna and Greg take Jason to a doctor who explains that he was a former circus performer who had a partner that resembled Lorna. Having gone insane and seeing Lorna's picture in a magazine, he came to Africa to kill her and the animals in the jungle. The doctor then tells them that the treatment on Jason is a success and that his madness has been cured.
