After a disturbing dream, Cyborg experiments with the new features of his cybernetic tech. By the time Cyborg realizes the dream was a warning that aliens were coming, they have already arrived on Earth.
While a Senator goes on a "fact-finding" mission at S.T.A.R. Labs in Detroit, Victor accidentally activates a program patterned after his mother's thoughts, memories, and feelings. While the Senator's men collect evidence, Victor has a heart-to-heart with his mother about his life.
After taking care of the villain The Zookeeper with his JLA friend Shazam, Cyborg is served a federal warrant for his arrest, but he doesn't plan to go quietly.
Shazam pretends to try to subdue Cyborg, but it is all part of a plan Victor prepared ahead of time.
The Justice League wants Shazam to continue to help Cyborg secretly. Captured by Agent Holmes, Cyborg uses his tech abilities to spread the secrets the government is keeping around the world, and then to defeat the Technosapiens invasion once and for all. He also learns that the cyber-manifestation of his mother is really a creation of the Technosapiens, and destroys her.
Victor is betrayed by Variant, whom he learns has been working with Fisher, and the accident that led to her being transformed into Variant was a ploy on her part to gain access to Boom Tube technology that could be used to transport Fisher's armies anywhere in the world. When Fisher betrays Variant, she and Vic work together to bring him down. Returning to S.T.A.R. Labs, Variant is taken into custody and is shut down. However, the Dr. Silas Stone doppelganger has plans for her.
Cyborg must discover the origin of a worldwide cyber attack and shut it down before it causes Sarah's airliner to crash.
Cyborg tries to help two intruders at S.T.A.R. Labs who are dying because of a condition caused by their discredited scientist father.
The Dr. Silas Stone doppelganger, now identified as the cybernetic being Anomaly, reveals his origin to Victor: the real Dr. Silas Stone created a series of replicants of himself called O.T.A.C.s in an attempt to cure his wife of cancer, but after he failed, the replicants ended up in the hands of unscrupulous scientists who experimented on them. Only the 13th replicant, O.T.A.C. 13, survived to exact revenge on the scientists and Dr. Stone as Anomaly. Now Victor and Exxy must battle Anomaly to save Dr. Stone and themselves.
Malware, a cyber-biological monster, is sent by a mysterious adversary to attack S.T.A.R. Labs Detroit, to monitor Cyborg's response and capabilities. While fighting to stop Malware, Cyborg learns a secret of his origin that his father has been hiding from him.
Overcome by the rats under the control of the Lord of the Rats, Victor boom-tubes away and finds himself trapped in a video game designed and inhabited by his former childhood friend gone bad who has the power to control this digital world and wants revenge on Victor.
Cyborg returns to Detroit from the digital dimension he was trapped in, only to find that 6 months have passed on Earth. He finds that in the time that he was gone Exxy has become a popular rapper with his songs of his exploits with Cyborg, and Anomaly has used his O.T.A.C. technology on Rizzo Rattama transforming him into Ratattack, a giant cybernetic rat. Upon sensing Victor's return, Anomaly send Ratattack after Cyborg.
Victor learns that Anomaly is planning a new attack against him, and Black Narcissus helps him when Fyrewyre, a ninja assassin with a quantum sword, attacks. Meanwhile, Sarah has learned that Anomaly has been impersonating Dr. Stone, and plans to help Cyborg defeat him.
